Overview
Being ahead of times is something that needs both vision and conviction. These two pillars initiated the journey of Palekar Foods, back in 1939. In times when bakery food was not a part of everyday life, and had little acceptance in a religious society, Palekar Bakery took its first steps. Driven by Dadasaheb Palekar's passion, it introduced Satara and its neighbouring regions to a variety of bakery products; all of which were self-developed recipes, made through self-learnt technology.
Today, through a combination of advanced technology (rotary rack ovens) and a rich legacy of products and taste, Palekar Foods has become a preferred name of people, when it comes to delightful bakery products. The manufacturing plant close to Satara has shaped many milestones and continues to do so.
Journey
Palekar... The name has been a part of people's taste buds, homes and conversations in and around Satara, almost for 8 decades. The foundation of this glorious journey of a world of bakery products was laid by Dadasaheb Palekar and has been nurtured by the hard work and dedication of two generations since then.
Over the decades, Palekar Foods has evolved, while continuously staying ahead of the times. With the second generation (Shri. Govindrao Palekar) and now the third generation (Shri. Neelkanth Palekar), adding many new facets to the solid core of Pakekar Foods, the name continues to win over the hearts of food lovers with unmatched taste. Along with breads and khari, Palekar's cakes, cookies and pastries have developed a loyal fan following.
